It was traffic chaos on the northeast Avalon Saturday afternoon as the first snowfall to hit the region resulted in dozens of traffic incidents.
The RCMP responded to five accidents on the T.C.H. alone within the first thirty minutes of snow touching pavement. The metro area fared no better with multiple reports of cars spinning, sliding and crashing into each other in the same time period.
One Twitter user said there were multiple cars spinning tires on Route 60 near Holyrood and there was another collision reported on Paradise Road.
There were no reports of any serious injuries at any of the collision scenes.
