Three snowmobilers from Natuashish have been found but a fourth remains missing.

According to the Labrador RCMP, four men left Hopedale around suppertime on Sunday, March 18 to travel to Natuashish but were reported overdue at 1:30 a.m. the following morning.

Ground search and rescue from Hopedale and Natuashish were mobilized but their efforts were impeded by blizzard-like conditions.

Two of the four men were found on Monday afternoon and were fine. Another man was located last night and will require medical attention.

Police say search efforts are continuing today, March 20, for the other man. Conditions in the area are still rough, however, with high winds creating blowing snow and whiteouts.

Air support from Happy Valley-Goose Bay is currently on hold due to the weather. Air support is en route from Gander to Goose Bay.
