Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Environment Canada has placed a special weather statement in effect for Grand Falls – Windsor and vicinity, as well at the Bay of Exploits.  

At 10:46 this morning, the statement noted that these areas can expect snowfall amounts of 10-15 cm and rainfall amounts of five to 10 mm.  

Snow will develop Wednesday night and change to rain by Thursday morning. There is a risk of a brief period of freezing rain during the changeover. The rain is forecast to taper off by Thursday afternoon.  

Residents in this area are cautioned to continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #NLwx.
