Alfred Barnes August 10, 1935 - May 18, 2018 Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, May 18, 2018, Alfred Barnes, age 82 years of St. Alban’s. Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Elizabeth; sons, Michael (Pearl) at St. Alban’s, Kevin (Eileen) at Ajax, ON, Wayne (Wanda) at Clarke’s Beach, Roger (Erin) at Stetter, AB and Bruce (Lyndsay) at Caledon, ON; daughters, Donna at St. John’s, Marilyn (Derek) at St. Alban’s and Tina (Leon) at St. John’s; seven grandchildren; sisters, Agatha Hoskins at St. Alban’s, Ethel Irving at ON and Jessie Power at St. Bernard’s, NL; plus a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Rita and William Barnes; sisters, Mary Morris, Theresa Farrell and Jenny Donahue; brother, Matthew Farrell. Funeral service was held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm from St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church at St. Alban’s with Father Patrick officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer’s Funeral Home.
