Effie Fudge — Grand Falls-Windsor

Effie Jane Fudge March 17, 1942 - October 6, 2018 Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center at Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, October 6, 2018, Effie Jane Fudge, of Milltown, at 76 years. Effie was born on March 17, 1942 to John and Bessie McDonald of Pushthrough being one of two children. They moved to Furby’s Cove and Effie went to live with her grandmother McDonald and her uncle, Sam McDonald. She married Edward Fudge of McCallum in 1970 at Gaultois and raised two children, Donald and Albert. Later, in 2005, they moved to Bay D’ Espoir to live. She leaves to mourn her loving family: sons, Donald (Nancy) and Albert (Hattie); grandchildren, Chloe and Chelsea; great-grandchild, Everly; special nieces, Ursula and Jane; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Effie was predeceased by her husband, Edward; brother, Garfield; parents, John and Bessie McDonald; grandmother, Harriet McDonald; uncle, Sam McDonald; aunt, Marjorie McDonald and step mother, Olive McDonald. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Christ Anglican Church at Milltown with Rev. Hubert Vallis and Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Milltown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer’s Funeral Home.
