Obituary LAWSON MICHAEL UPWARD 1940 – 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Lawson Upward announces his passing in New Market, ON. on April 3, 2011 at the age of 70. Predeceased by parents, William and Hilda Upward; brothers: Leonard, Stewart; and sisters: Louise Caravan and Giralda Mews. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife, Mrs. Martha (Gillingham) Upward; children: Jerry (Caroline), Sharon (Kevin Link), Karen (Steve Schlosser), Bruce (Sonya) and Nicole (Russell Webber). Also leaving to mourn grandchildren: Derrick, Cara, Jenny, Jennifer, Christopher, Natasha, Michael, Jeremiah, Jasmine, Gregory, Gary and Gordy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Reverend Sharon Marshall conducted the funeral service from the United Church in Harry’s Harbour on April 9, 2011. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons Bruce and Jerry; grandsons Derrick Upward and Christopher Link and sons-in-law Kevin Link and Steven Schlosser.
