Lorraine Collins — St. John's

Collins, Vera Lorraine - Passed peacefully away at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge on Friday, April 14, 2017 Vera Lorrain Collins, age 82 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Garfield (Jan. 3, 2017) sister Nina Aitkin, Phyllis Simmonds, Clarabelle Boone and brother Dexter Boone. Leaving to mourn her loss with broken hearts daughter Rosalyn, son Tim and her two beloved granddaughters Krista and Katherine Carter; also leaving to mourn sister-in-law Marjorie Collins and brother-in-law Lloyd Collins (Verna), sister-in-law Shirley Boone and a large number of nieces and nephews and close friends. We would like to thank all the staff at Glenbrook Lodge who made Mom’s journey more comfortable and peaceful. We would especially like to thank the nursing staff of 2nd floor and 1st floor A wing. A special thank you to social worker Wendy Skinner who started with us for both Mom and Dad on their first day and was there for us. No visitation, cremation has taken place. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. from Caul’s Chapel, 84 Lemarchant Road, St. John’s with inurnment following at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
