Sgt. Glynn Scott Parsons

PARSONS .CD Sgt. Glynn Scott Age 56 Sgt. Glynn Scott Parsons .CD age 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 10, 2019 in Greenwood. The son of Jerry and Naomi Parsons, he was born on October 25, 1962, in Carmenville, Newfoundland. Along with his parents, he is survived by his loving daughter, Katelyn Quinn (Adam) and their expectant daughter; Sister, Trudy Downey (Bert); Brother, Dennis Parsons (Nicole) and a number of nieces and a nephew. Glynn served with the Canadian Forces for almost 35 years which included: CFB Cornwallis, NS; CFB Kingston, ON; CFS Debert, NS; Detachment Charlottetown, PEI; CFB Borden, ON; CFB Halifax,CFB Gander, NL and lastly, CFB Greenwood, NS. As well as two tours in Alert, NU. He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents; Stanley and Clementine Parsons and Leslie and Frederica Oake along with numerous aunts and uncles. The body has been cremated by Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, NS and a family burial will take place on October 21, 2019 in Victoria Cove, Newfoundland. A celebration of life will take place at Saint Mark's Chapel on CFB Greenwood, NS on October 26, 2019 at 2pm. The family has requested family flowers only, but donations in Glynn's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
