GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, NL — The Conception Bay Blues started with determination, lighting up the scoreboard first in today’s game at the Joe Byrne Arena.
However, by the time the first 15 minutes of play had ended, the hometown team was ahead 3-1.
The second period was testy.
The Cats managed a short-handed goal to go up 4-1 but the Blues managed a point to close the gap to 4-2 going into the third period.
After a break, the Cataracts game out firing on all cylinders.
But the time the final buzzer sounded, the Cats had secured an 8-3 win.
This weekend the Cats play the Gander Flyers on Friday night in Gander, before heading to Clarenville on Saturday to meet the Caribous.
