CLARENVILLE, N.L.—The Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts bounced back on Sunday afternoon, following a loss Saturday night against the Clarenville Ford Caribous, and posted their first win of the season, 5-2 over the ‘Bous.

Grand Falls-Windsor got off to a fast start on Sunday, leading 3-0 after the first period of play at the Eastlink Events Centre.

And Kevin Reid was able to continue his hot play, scoring to pull the ‘Bous within two goals by the end of the second.

Ryan Desrosiers added another to start the third period, but the 3-2 deficit was as close as Clarenville would come, surrendering a shorthanded goal midway through the frame to seal the Cats’ win.

The Cataracts added an empty net goal in the dying seconds to finalize the 5-2 score.
