Nineteen champions were determined as VollyFest 2018, the largest school-based volleyball tournament in Canada, concluded over the weekend in metro St. John’s.
The event, sponsored by Beresford Ltd, featured 170 school teams taking part in 11 divisions, with 19 tiers in all.
Over 2,300 athletes took part, with 350 coaches, 80 officials and 24 conveners also involved in the tourney, which was played out on 30 courts in St. John’s and vicinity, with the primary venues being the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre for junior high divisions, and the Memorial University Field House for senior high divisions.
