ANTIGONISH, N.S. – Tony Moores of Fortune is coming home from the Special Olymics Canada Summer Games with some hardware.

Moores, a member of the Grand Bank-Fortune Seahawks, won gold in the standing long jump M4 division final on Thursday, Aug. 2.

He is one of two athletes from the Burin Peninsula at the Games. Lucas Antle of Frenchman’s Cove is also competing in athletics.

The Games, which are being held in Antigonish, N.S., wrap up on Saturday, Aug. 4.
