BAIE VERTE, NL — He enjoys watching the professionals play the game on television, but for Evan Davis of Baie Verte, there’s nothing like getting on the ice himself.
Evan is an 11-year-old defenceman with the Baie Verte Sabres who shares his time on the ice as an alternate for the Central Ice Pak.
In his seventh year of hockey, he is also defenceman for the Springdale Braves peewee team this year.
What fuels Evan’s passion for hockey?
“I just love the game and the friendships I have made from playing,” he said.
In his down time, he likes to watch his favourite NHL team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, on television
Evan still has a few more years of playing ahead of him and looks forward to all the friends he will make in the years to come.
