Darren Langdon expects to be a member of the Western Kings coaching staff for the 2018-2019 season with Mark Robinson and Andre Cornick.
Cornick was fired by Kings management at the end of last season, while Robinson left the team shortly after. The moves were made after Kings co-owner Craig Simms of Corner Brook felt changes to the coaching staff were needed.
Kings co-owner Jason Oake didn’t share the same vision and wanted the two coaches to remain as part of the coaching staff with Langdon.

Despite the apparent turmoil, Langdon believes the two owners are trying to sort it all out.
Langdon said he will be on hand to help out where he can when the Western Kings hold an open tryout camp over three weekends in August.
It’s been a long wait for things to be settled and Langdon hopes a solution is found soon so the focus can turn back to the ice.
