The Dolomount family of Robinsons was having a great time at Stephenville Dome watching ECHL hockey that they summed up with one word — fast.
Peter, the dad of the family, said he really liked the pace of the game between the Newfoundland Growlers and the Brampton Beast.
“We’d definitely come back if there was more of this type of hockey,” he said of the pre-season game, which is part of a cross-provincial ECHL hockey series.

Brock, the youngest of the family, said the hockey was really good and fast and now he can’t wait to get playing hockey himself.
All three of the Dolomount children, who also include Bella and Sadie, now play hockey in the Bay St. George Minor Hockey system.
Mom Kerri said the ECHL game on Thursday night was probably some of the best hockey they ever seen at Stephenville Dome. They’ve often come in from Robinsons in Bay St. George South to watch Stephenville Jets games.
The family sits down in front of the television to watch the playoffs in NHL hockey each spring but don’t spend much time at it during the regular season.
There’s two more game in the series, tonight at 7 p.m. the Hodder Memorial Centre in Deer Lake and on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Eastlink Events Centre in Clarenville.
