The provincial major midget hockey playoffs resume Friday night in Harbour Grace, where the top-seeded Western Kings take a 2-0 lead into their best-of-seven semifinal against the Tri-Pen Osprey.
The game, which starts at the Danny Cleary Community Centre at 9:10 p.m., is one of three between the teams this weekend; they also play at the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts Saturday night and Sunday morning, the latter if necessary.
The second semifinal, between the St. John’s Maple Leafs and East Coast Blizzard, swings back into action 3 p.m. Saturday at Goulds Arena. That series is tied at a game apiece.
