ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — St. John's has been chosen as one of 25 destinations on the Rogers Hometown Hockey tour this fall.

The province's capital city will play host to Sportsnet's Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Oct. 20.

The event is a full weekend of live entertainment, NHL alumni, and hockey-themed activities, culminating with a live outdoor viewing party of an NHL broadcast from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio.

The tour last stopped in St. John's in 2014, its inaugural year. 

Other Newfoundland stops for the tour include Mount Pearl (2018), Grand Falls-Windsor (2016), and Corner Brook (2015).
