A pair of cross-country runners are the latest Memorial University varsity athletes of the week after standout performances at the Acadia Invitational, an Atlantic University Sport meet held Saturday in Wolfville, N.S.

Moulton, who is from Paradise, finished third in the eight-kilometre men’s race in Wolfville, N.S., in 26 minutes and 55 seconds, just 13 seconds out of first place.

Roberts was one of three Sea-Hawks runners who had top-10 finishes in the six-kilometre women’s race at Acadia. The Twillingate native had Memorial’s top result in the division, covering the course in 23 minutes and 38 seconds, leaving her 10 seconds short of a podium finish.

That helped Memorial finish second in the female team standings.
