The U15s won their title with a wide margin of victory, 5-1 over Prince Edward Island, while the U16s’ championship victory came in much more dramatic fashion, prevailing in penalty kicks against Nova Scotia, with Newfoundland goalkeeper Jacob Dyer of St. John’s playing the hero with three saves in penalty-kick session.

Atlantic championships in the corresponding girls’ age-groups were in Halifax, where Newfoundland’s under-15 girls took silver after a 4-0 loss to Nova Scotia in the final and the NL U16s finished third by beating New Brunswick 1-0.
