DEER LAKE, N.L. — The Corner Brook Rock won the men’s division of the 2019 Molson Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Broomball Championships at the Hodder Memorial Recreation Complex in Deer Lake on Saturday, defeating Bishop’s Falls 2-0 in the final, with Darren Simmons and Paul Prosper providing the goals and Marc Green notching the shutout. The team was 4-0 in round-robin play.
On the women’s side, Happy Valley-Goose Bay downed Exploits 1-0 to capture the title, with the lone goal coming from Kelly McKay. Roxi Woolfrey earned the shutout in net.
