MARYSTOWN, N.L. — School Sports NL Varsity Program will host the SSNL Varsity Cross Country Running Provincials on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Marystown Central High.
A total of 15 schools from across the province are scheduled to compete in the Team Events and 24 schools are slated for the in the Individual Events. They will be competing for the SSNL Provincial Banners in Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys events, while individuals will be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Provincial medals.
The 2018/2019 defending team champions are Eric G. Lambert School from Churchill Falls, Mealy Mountain Collegiate in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Stephenville Intermediate and Stephenville High School.
The Individual defending champions are Jenni Simpson from Glovertown Academy, Lena Miller from Gander Collegiate, Stephen Milley from Corner Brook Intermediate and Liam Dyson from J. C. Erhardt Memorial.
