Tri Pen Ice female bantam AAA team to represent NL at Atlantics

GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L. — The Tri Pen Ice won the 2018 Bantam AAA Female Provincial Championships on Sunday in CBS.

According to a release from Hockey NL, the Ice edged the Eastern Ice Breakers 1-0 in the Championship Game.

The tournament featured four teams: The Ice, Ice Breakers, Western Warriors and Central Ice Pak.

The Central team won the bronze by defeating the Warriors 3-1 on Sunday as well.

The championship team, Tri Pen Ice, is made up of the top 13 and 14-year old female players in the Eastern region of the province.

The Ice will now represent Hockey NL in the Atlantic Regional Championship being held in Charlottetown, PEI from April 5-8
