CENTRAL NEWFOUNDLAND: You'll need a raincoat, sunglasses and some patience this weekend
Yes, it’s going to rain this weekend but not all weekend long. There’s a system on the way; rain is expected to start up through the afternoon Saturday. After a wet night, the area of low will pull east of the Avalon. That will bring in some cold air and we will likely see a little wet snow before things wrap up. A weak ridge of high pressure will snuggle in late in the day Sunday; the clearing comes with a strong and cool north wind. A dry slot will build in from the west and serve up some sunshine for Victoria Day.
