CINDY'S SNAPSHOT: Farming on the Rock, field near Goulds, Newfoundland looks like candy

Is it just me or does this look like ribbon candy? It’s quite a lovely sight.

It was a late start, but farmers are on the land across Atlantic Canada. Janny VanHouwelingen came across this field in Goulds, south of St. John’s NL. The strips of sheeting are used to warm the soil and keep the weeds down too. Janny wasn’t sure what crop might appear in this field later this season. If you happen to know, be sure to let us know at: weathermail@weatherbyday.ca
