REGIONAL FORECAST: Sept. 20, 2019

A strong high-pressure system over central Quebec is ridging down across the Maritimes and will be our weekend weather-maker. Meanwhile, a weakening but large post-tropical Humberto is tracking less than 500 km offshore. There are reports of impressive waves along south-facing coastlines – so stay back and enjoy them from a distance. The outer bands of the offshore storm will bring showers and gusty winds to the Burin and Avalon Peninsulas tonight and tomorrow morning.
